CHIESA DI SANT'ILARIO
The church of Sant'Ilario in Campo, of Romanesque origin, is inserted in the Pisan fortifications of the village.
Despite the passage of time, the centre of Sant'Ilario in Campo still preserves a typical aspect of a medieval village perched around its church. The small main square, made of granite, is a meeting place, a place where every child in the area spent the afternoon playing with the elders. On this square, the village church, of Romanesque origin, is inserted into the walls of the Pisan fortifications and has a beautiful bell tower with a pentagonal base, heir to an ancient Pisan tower of the 12th century. The façade is in Baroque style with two naves.
