Superb winery where you can enjoy a tasting of Elba Bianco DOP, overlooking the walled city of Portoferraio.
The agricultural estate La Chiusa ("La Fermée"), which overlooks the Gulf of Portoferraio, owes its name to the wall that surrounds this property of 20 hectares, 11.5 of which are vineyards. The place, majestic and full of "Tuscany", deserves a visit just for its setting, its garden and the view of the walled city. But it would be a shame to miss a small tasting! For La Chiusa is not only the oldest winery on the island of Elba, it also produces excellent wines, such as Elba Bianco DOP and dessert wines.
