Nearby, the beach of Ferrato, and further south, begins the authentic Costa dei Gabbiani (Seagull Coast) with its many small bays, accessible only on foot or by boat. The ratings and reviews below reflect the subjective opinions of members and not the opinion of The Little Witty.
***
Let us start by saying that this campground's advertisement is not entirely true.
Firstly, "BioElba" is located next to a campsite for camper vans (both campsites are separated by a dirt road), and not really near the farm...
Secondly, at the height of summer we noticed that there were much more than 8 tents !
Finally we quite enjoyed being woken up by the garbage collector every other day, at 6 a.m. ! But we must admit that having recycling containers next to the tents looks quite organic. Although these were probably put in place by the other campground.
Unfortunately we couldn't buy anything at the farm (except some olive oil), as it was under restructuring... So we had to go to the supermarket with the car, about 2 miles from the campground.
However, we did enjoy being so close to the beach, and have the chance to swim with our diving masks and snorkels. It is disappointing that most of the seabed is covered with algae... There wasn't that much to see.
To conclude, we would not recommend this campground, compared to what it promises. Careful not to be disappointed !
