Here is a very small beach (about 50 meters) well sheltered, located on the northeastern tip of the island, north of Cavo, between Capo Castello and Capo Vita. Mainly frequented by locals or connoisseurs, Cala dell'Alga, the "seaweed cove", enjoys a beautiful view of the small islands of Palmaiola and Cerboli, and further on the whole Gulf of Piombino. This cove, bathed by a calm, shallow sea, is made up of sand and pebbles. To get there: take the small path that leads to the beach from the paying car park.
