STAR MOSQUE
This rather unusual mosque keeps its name from the thousand blue stars who come to decorate its walls. Built at the end of the th century in Mughal style, it originally included three domes and four towers in each corner of the building. At the beginning of the th century, a rich merchant undertook to completely redecorating the mosque and add a veranda to the east of the building. He brings colorful ceramics from China and Japan, broken down into small pieces and used to form patterns based on chinitikri (kaolin mosaic) technique. If you're looking for good, you can find Mt. Fuji among the pieces! In 1987, the Ministry of Religious Affairs commissionne two local architects to enlarge the prayer hall. They add two roof domes to meet a certain balance.
