LIBERATION WAR MUSEUM
This very interesting museum recounts through six galleries the atrocities committed during the Liberation War that pitted the Bangladeshi people to the Pakistanis and led to Bangladesh's independence in 1971. Objects are displayed in windows, press clippings, weapons, and personal objects that tell the story of their owners. Many photographs and graphics, sometimes unsustainable, denounce rape, indiscriminate killings, bodies left to stray dogs… As you will have understood, this museum is not made for young children, but it is essential for all others.
A new building was to open in July 2015, but was still not in the course of our passage in 2016. Find out more about your hotel or guide.
