FOLK MUSEUM
The Museum of Folk Art is located within a complex of culture and leisure. There you will find a former rajbari housing the museum, fair games, souvenir shops, sweets and snacks stands and a large park around a pond.
The Museum of Arts and Folk Art (Folk Art & Craft Museum): It is housed in an imposing old mansion that has just been saved by the government. Long renovations were needed to make the Sadarbari its splendour. The architect responsible for the work has, moreover, forced a little forced on the nine, removing at the expense of his stamp. But it will come back over time… You will see from the road the high white facade of classic structure: two floors drilled with finely framed high arcades of crafted stucco stucco. In front of the house, a staircase guarded by two riders leads to the pond dominated by coconut trees. The side facade, opposite the ticket box, presents a very different aspect. The main entrance of the residence is entirely decorated with blue and grey tiles, giving it the faux of Portuguese habitaçao. At night, the house lights up and many coloured garlands not the happiest dégoulinent along the facades.
During our last visit, the work was not completed and the collection of objects dating back to the th century for some was exhibited in the museum library, located a little further down the aisle.
The Park: Sonargaon is a very popular place by the Bangladeshi people who come here to family or entire classes. By bypassing the Rajbari of Sadarbari, you follow a walkway that will make you cross a party with fire to the rifle and fish fishing. A little further, craftsmen rissolent in your eyes the units who once fried join the mountains of other units. If you have a hollow, don't hesitate to stop there. Sweets, in particular, should get you for several hours. You will also see many shops selling the jamdani saris, known throughout the country for their finesse.
