This vast lawn of 11 ha surrounded by a wall behind the mosque of Eidgah serves as a place of prayer on the occasion of Aid el Fitr and Aid ul-Adha. Thousands of men gather for the prayer and stand up to Mecca. During the colonial era, this land served as a place of grazing and rest for the elephants of the local maharaja.
