Set in a beautiful white house surrounded by a garden, this gallery pays tribute to the famous painter Zaidul Abedin (1914-1976). This pioneer in modern Bangladeshi art was made famous for a charcoal series illustrating the great famine of 1943. If none of these drawings are exhibited here (they are at the National Museum in Dhaka), you will see 53 of its oils, mainly representing rural scenes.
