This castle, dating from the 11th century, is one of the oldest castles in the Nivernais.

Dating back to the 11th century, it is one of the oldest castles in the Nivernais region, and today one of its most beautiful treasures! Set in the bed of the river Allier, it is recognizable by its circular shape. The château and its outbuildings are classified as Historic Monuments. It's thanks to the love of a passionate family that Meauce lives again. The château is open to visitors during the European Heritage Days, and private tours can be booked on the website. You can also enjoy its enchanting setting during the many events organized there.
