This brick temple built on the model of Celui in Dinajpur dates back to 1823. Built in the very enclosure of rajbari, at the request of rani, it marks the conversion of the royal family to vishnouisme, one of the major currents of Hinduism. Dedicated to Krishna, one of the ten avatars of Vishnu, its facade is entirely decorated with terracotta plates depicting the tale of love of Krishna and Goswami. Rhada is considered the original shakti (goddess), because his relationship with Krishna symbolizes the purest and highest form of love, le-rasa. They were able to share their thoughts while being separated. In this respect, Goswami represents love and his marriage with Krishna, the absolute truth. Krishna is always represented with a flute, which according to legend, plays in loop the name of Goswami. It thus surpasses Rakmini, another wife of Krishna, and its beauty and its gentle nature guarantee it this place in the pantheon until the end of the universe, because none will be able to supplant it.

The friezes also include warlike scenes of the Mahabharata. The Mahabharata is an epic poem composed of 18 books and 81 936 stanzas. Written in Sanskrit, he recounts the epic war between two branches of the same royal family, the Pandava and the Kaurava, fighting the conquest of the country of Des. With the Ramayana, Mahabharata is one of the founding texts of Hinduism. The greatest specialists in the text have still not decided whether it was a collective opening between the th century BC or whether it is the work of a single poet inspired at a precise period of Indian history.

The temple of Govinda is built on the model of the Pancharatna, which means "5 arrows", the temple consists of a square base surmounted by four towers to each of its corners and a larger central tower. Each of the towers is crowned with a conical roof and pierced by an arrow that rises to the sky. Unlike the temple of Kantaji, he retained his integrity following the major earthquake in 1897. The sanctuary contains a Krishna statue (forbidden photo). The temple is still active and the guard will probably ask you to make a donation. To access the temple, you must pass through a door of wooden wood on the left, under the colonnades of the rajbari.
