JOR BANGLA TEMPLE
Jor Bangla refers to an architectural style peculiar to some temples in Bengal. These two twin structures cover each other, in the form of a traditional hut, and covered with a curved roof at two slopes. The Jor Jor de Pabna is one of two temples of this still visible style, the other being in India, in West Bengal. The first hut acts as a porch, when the second houses the sanctuary. Like many Hindu temples in this part of the country, the temple is richly decorated with carved terracotta slabs. It dates back to the middle of the th century. Vandalized during its construction, it was never consecrated and remained in sanctuary.
