BANA VIHARA
On this island, just next to that of Rajbari, there is a Buddhist temple and monastery. Connected to Rangamati by a bridge, you can walk on foot. The monastery dates back to 1972 and the monks have their cells right beside or opposite the temple. You can enter the temple (thinking of déchausser) by asking for permission to a monk. Many families come here to pray and ask for advice. In the east of the island, monks build wooden boats. Just follow the shore by right after the bridge. Pay attention to your personal effects because many monkeys inhabit the island's forest and are fed by monks; they can be aggressive and thieves. Store your personal belongings (sunglasses, caps, etc.) in a sealed bag and hang firmly into your camera…
