PLAZA DE LOS PRESIDENTES
Since Spain's independence in 1968, Equatorial Guinea has had three presidents: Don Bonifacio Ondo Edu, President of the Autonomous Government from 1968 to 1979, Francisco Macias Nguema, the first President of the country from 1968 to 1964 and Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, who had been chairing Equatorial Guinea since 1979. These three figures, which are so different and which led the country in a very similar way, are located in the same place in Mongomo: the Place des trois Présidents. With a large clock tower, this monument is unique by these marble statues. Unique, it really is worth a detour to admire it more closely.
