HILL BANK FIELD STATION
Mining area at the end of the New River, with architectural remains and machinery such as steam engines...
At the end of the New River Lagoon, this area was intensively exploited for its forestry resources from the 17thcentury onwards, and for almost 150 years. You can see architectural remains and machinery such as steam engines and old railroad tracks. Here you can enjoy crocodile-watching by canoe, gentle strolls along the trails and bird-watching. The boat trip on the lagoon alone is worth the detour. The cabins are simple but in total communion with nature.
