ST. HERMAN'S BLUE HOLE NATIONAL PARK
Blue Hole National Park south of Belmopan, ideal for observing 200 species of birds, with 2 major attractions
The park has two major attractions: St. Herman's Cave and the Blue Hole, linked by an underground river. You can visit the first 200 metres of St. Herman's Cave on your own, but to continue to the end of the cave, you'll need the services of a guide; it's well worth the effort, as you'll discover beautiful geological formations and Mayan artefacts here and there; the highlight is the return trip by tubing.
