L'ETANG TAUREAU
L'étang Taureau is a site on the Saint-Brisson estate that was created before the French Revolution.
Located on the Saint-Brisson estate near the Maison du PNR du Morvan, the pond was created before the French Revolution to enable timber to be floated to the capital. Take a stroll through the large peaty meadows, following a special nature trail (with explanatory panels) laid out on a stilted path. Close to the pond, you'll spot hardy cows called Highlands Cattles grazing certain plots. Their long coats make them look very friendly, but beware of their large, lyre-shaped horns.
