LAKHTA CENTER
Initiated by the prestigious English architectural firm RMJM and finalized by the Russian cabinet Gorproekt CJSC, this project is better known in France as Gazprom Tower. On the seafront, on the horseback between the Gulf of Finland and Lakhtinsky Lake, this new business center reflects the ambition, power or demeasurement (according to) Gazprom. The epicenter of the project is this 462 m high tower which must host Gazprom's head office. With its 86 floors, it will be the highest skyscraper in Europe. In addition to offices, this tower in the Gulf of Finland will host a tourist attraction with a 360-degree view at the summit (378 m) and recreational and consumption facilities: a panoramic restaurant, a shopping center, an open amphitheater, a medical center, a scientific and educational center and a sports center, etc. Started in 2012, the site has to be completed in 2018.
