THE NEW BRIDGE
This impressive Romanesque bridge built in the 12th century has become an iconic reference point for mountain tourism in Catalonia
A true emblem of Camprodon, this impressive Romanesque bridge was built in the 12th century and has become an iconic reference for mountain tourism in Catalonia. With a single arch, it has a large central opening and small side openings. It is believed to owe its name to the fact that it was built on the ruins of an older bridge. If you walk over the bridge, you will reach a portico called Porta de la Cerdanya, which was the old entrance to the village and the main way to get to Cerdanya.
