This is perhaps one of Catalonia's prettiest promenades, designed by architect Bernadí Martorell in the late 19th century for Barcelona's middle-class families looking for a cool spot in summer. On either side of the avenue, planted with century-old trees, you'll find gigantic villas and mansions, the vast majority in Modernist style. Each has its own character: one boasts a waterway surmounted by a bridge, another has its own chapel... An astonishing place not to be missed before leaving Camprodon.
