PETROGLYPHS PROVINCIAL PARK
Petroglyphs Provincial Park has an interpretive center to view a 20-minute documentary on the spiritual aspect.
Filled with mystery, it takes us back in time immemorial to a time worthy of Lascaux... or almost! In 1953, two geologists, trying to unravel the mystery of an underground river, discovered 900 illustrations depicting all aspects of life, one of the largest petroglyph murals in North America. An interpretation centre enlightens you on the spiritual aspect of these chisels called "learning stones". On request, you can watch a 20-minute documentary.
