Marine reserve home to no fewer than 3 species of sea turtle, manatees and a dozen other species of big fish
This is the southern end of Belize's barrier reef, home to no less than three species of sea turtle, manatees and a dozen other species of big fish. Whale sharks can be seen in season. Lime Caye and Hunting Caye, each with a hotel to stay in and places to pitch a tent, are reputed to have the most beautiful beaches in southern Belize, the latter being the only one inhabited by a few families.
