PINNACLES VISITOR CENTER
Popular Pinnacles National Park, ideal for birdwatching, with 45 km of hiking trails
Pinnacles National Park is one of California's least-visited parks... and it's a nugget! Some 45 kilometers of hikes, passing through caves and meadows. It's also a great place for birdwatching and rock climbing. The park does get busy in summer, however, so watch out for queues of cars, usually between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. The Pinnacles Park Visitor Center, located inland from Paicines and Soledad, is a convenient place to pick up maps and advice from rangers on campsites and activities.
