ARCHAEOLOGICAL COMPLEX OF THE CASTLE OF LLÍVIA
Discover this castle located at the top of a small hill which dominates the city and the plain of Cerdanya as a whole
Llívia castle, now in ruins, stands atop a small hill overlooking both the town and the entire Cerdanya plain. Originally, in the 9thcentury , its central rectangular tower was protected by a wall enclosed at its corners by four circular towers. It was destroyed in the 15th century by the troops of Louis XI. Although what remains today is of limited interest, the walk from the Llívia church is quite pleasant, and the view of the county from up there is splendid.
