CHURCH OF SANTA EUGÈNIA DE SAGA
A church with sculptures representing Adam and Eve or a figure of Christ in a position of blessing
The small municipality of Saga is home to this 10th century church. Renovated and enlarged at the end of the 12th century - the impressive portal dates from this period - it has survived to the present day without too much damage. With a single nave with a semicircular head, the most outstanding feature of this building are the sculptures on the portal representing Adam and Eve or a figure of Christ in a blessed position. The original altar is kept in the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris.
