SANT PERE CASTLE
This castle was used as a defensive point of primary importance during the feudal wars in the Middle Ages
It is difficult to determine the exact origin of this castle (although documented since the year 990), as well as to tell its story. Between 1207 and 1473, documents referred to it under the name of Château de Segura and it belonged to several families before being acquired by the Bishop of Barcelona in 1620, who will order consolidation. It was used as a major defensive point during the feudal wars in the Middle Ages, and is also at the heart of conflicts during the war between France and Spain under Napoleon. Today, there is only one tower sitting in the middle of the ruins.
