CAVES AND CLIFFS OF SANT MARTÍ
The impressive cliffs that surround the village of Sant Martí de Llémena are home to prehistoric settlements
The impressive cliffs surrounding the village of Sant Martí de Llémena houses prehistoric houses dating back to the Neolithic era, chalcolithique and bronze age (3500 to 700 BC). Located in the rocky walls of Rocafesa, there are several caves: Boratuna, where the Neolithic pottery was discovered; Roc del Mirador, with a single bedroom that was probably a funeral cave of the end of the bronze age (1200-700 BC); the cave of Pla d'en Tallada, also burial cave of Chalcolithique or bronze age; and that of Fontsaveu, which is the most accessible, also inhabited during the chalcolithique period (towards 2000 BC).
