Discover the old forge of Roquer which is a witness of the economic dynamism of the Montseny region
The ancient Forge forge, witness to the economic dynamism of the Montseny region from the th century to half the th century, is probably the most emblematic element of the industrial heritage of Arbúcies. Built between 1846 and 1848, taking advantage of the hydrolique force permitted by the passage of a river, it was used to work copper until 1873, before serving a range of other works: … of skins, sawmill, bodywork for buses… It was used until the 1970 s and then joined the heritage field. During the visits, the system is turned on, giving a simple look at the ingenuity of the inventors of the forge with hydraulic force.
