STEAM ENGINE OF THE FORMER BURÈS TEXTILE FACTORY
This textile mill housing a gigantic and impressive steam engine declared a national cultural interest in 2010
Opened in 1887 in the northeastern part of the city, the Burés i Salvadó textile factory, although it ceased its activities, continues to harbor as gigantic an impressive steam machine as it was formerly charged with operating some of the factory's automated systems. Conceived in 1908-1909 by Maquinista Terre i Marítima de Barcelona, a power of 200 horses, and real engineering jewel inherited from an industrial age not so distant, the machine, always under operating conditions, was declared a national cultural interest in 2010.
