A church dating from the 10th century which lost its parish status at the end of the 16th century
Dating from the th century, many references to this church have been made over the centuries. From 1598, many details about the life of Santa Maria d'Escale, which is dedicated to the temple, are revealed thanks to a manuscript found in the archives of the Province of Oix. As regards the church itself, it is known that it lost its parochial status at the end of the th century. Well later, in 1936, the church was desecrated, like many of them during the civil war, and the sculpture of the Virgin Mary that was there disappeared.
