OIX CASTLE
This castle was built around a central gothic courtyard characteristic of the time and contains many loopholes
It was built by the Lords of Bestrecà in the 15th century as a place of residence. It then passed from hand to hand, as conflicts arose, to become the possession of the Marquises of Monistrol and the Escribà de Romaní family in the 19th century, before being abandoned. It is square in shape and was built around a Gothic central courtyard typical of the period, with many open cracks in the walls on different levels. It is worth noting here the presence of an impressive three-lobed Gothic window inlaid in the south façade.
