OIX ROMAN BRIDGE
A bridge with a semicircular arch that allowed the inhabitants to cross the stream when the rain increased its level
Known as the Roman bridge, its construction is actually Romanesque, and therefore much later. It is possible that the error was propagated due to the earlier existence of an older bridge in the same place, alas, no document can attest to this to date. Its semicircular arch allowed the inhabitants to cross the stream when the rain increased its level. It was abandoned for a long time and was restored in 1991 by the Association of the Friends of the Alta Garrotxa (Friends of the Alta Garrotxa), thus recovering its original splendour.
