The volcano of Santa Margarida is one of the most easily accessible volcanoes in the area
The Santa Margarida volcano owes its name to the small Romanesque church built into its crater (350 metres in diameter, 70 metres deep). Unlike most of the volcanoes in the Park, its well-designed crater allows you to grasp its nature at a glance. It is 110 meters high and its base has a diameter of 1,200 meters. It erupted 11,000 years ago, is now extinct and is one of the most easily accessible volcanoes in the area.
