The "Beit HaShomer" museum is interested in the history of the Hashomer organization. This organization was created in 1909 by socialist Zionists to defend Jewish settlements in Palestine. It ceased to exist after the creation of Hagana in 1920. Its main founders and members were Israel Giladi (1886-1918), Israel Shohat (1886-1961) and Mendel Portugali (1888-1917).
