TUT BARNEA

Held by Eitan and Roni, this organic farm produces mainly strawberries (utu), cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, but also courgettes (on trial) and melons. It is the huge underground reserve of brackish water on which the farm is located and the moshavim in the surrounding area are used to irrigate the plantations. It is through a phenomenon of imbalance and stress suffered by the plantations in contact with this brackish water that a sweet sweet taste is given to the crops. The farm also employs bees for greenhouse pollination. The turn among greenhouses makes it possible to understand this whole process better.
