DRAC RESTAURANT
It is the restaurant of the Castell d'Empordà, authentic medieval fortress dating from the early th century. That Dalí was with two fingers to buy before finally opting for Púbol. They are eventually Albert Diks and Margo Vereijken, two Dutchman lovers who will buy it in 1999 after he was left behind for more than 18 years. After extensive restoration, the hotel restaurant opened its doors in 2001. In a very beautiful area, the restaurant offers refined cuisine to reinterpret the traditional dishes of the Empordà gastronomy. You can open the appetite with a fresh liver rush to Pedro Xímenes jelly or a citrus crab raviole and continue with a frozen cod back with chicken juice or candied spices. The Abundance Abundance abundance will bring the finishing touch.
For those who want an exceptional setting for a restful stay, the hotel offers 38 double rooms or suites, decorated with taste and refinement, all with beautiful views over the surroundings. Fans of great battles will be pleased to know that the hotel hosts a model, the largest in Europe, restorative the Battle of Waterloo, with 2 000 soldiers of lead and 500 horses, all hand painted. A particularity that the French can only appreciate…
