CHURCH OF PAAMIUT
A church with a colorful roof, inspired by the architecture of Norwegian wooden churches and featuring outstanding acoustics.
Greenland's churches are generally very attractive, and one of the finest can be found right here in Paamiut (1909). With its colorful roof, Stave Church(Friedenskirche) is inspired by Norwegian wooden church architecture, and the acoustics are fantastic. Then stop along the colorful bridge in the center of town to listen to the river babble. If you want to hear about everyday life in Paamiut, there's nothing like chatting to the locals in a café or even on the street! For a guided tour, contact the museum.
