NUUK HALF-MARATHON
In the middle of summer, Nuuk hosts this famous and particularly difficult marathon as well as a small art and music festival.
In midsummer, Nuuk hosts a half-marathon (the Nuuk Half-Marathon no longer exists). Departing from the Royal Arctic Line, most of the race is on relatively flat roads, ideal for those wishing to beat their personal best! It runs alongside beautiful houses, including those in the colonial port, as well as the new district of Qinngorput. The route is 21 km long, and runners take the same route again to finish. Participants should also be prepared for bad weather (wind, rain, cold). The half-marathon can be run as a relay.
