NATIONAL MUSEUM
Museum on the history of the first Inuit, Viking settlements, Thule culture and the transition to modern Greenland.
The museum covers the entire history of the country over the past 4,500 years, tracing the life of the early Inuit, the Viking settlements, the Thule culture and the gradual transition to modern Greenland. The permanent collection holds a unique ethnographic collection including the famous mummies of Qilakitsoq, traditional costumes and the oldest skin boat in the world (1470). Reconstructions of Inuit life and tupilaks are also sections not to be missed. Undoubtedly the most beautiful museum in the country.
