NUUK ART MUSEUM
Art museum with permanent exhibition of collections of paintings, watercolors and drawings by artists, as well as temporary exhibitions.
Just a few minutes' walk from the center, Nuuk boasts a culturally significant art museum. The permanent exhibition contains an impressive collection of paintings, watercolors and drawings by recent artists such as Miki Jacobsen, Buuti Pedersen, Naja Rosing Asvid and Anne-Birthe Hove. The museum exhibits a large collection of sculptures (soapstone, bone, wood and ivory) from all over Greenland. In 2007, a 230m2 annex was opened for temporary exhibitions, each devoted to a new Greenlandic artist.
