Located next to the town's old cemetery, the Maniitsoq Museum provides a good introduction to local culture and history in three houses with three different atmospheres. While the cultural-historical part is vast and represents the diversity of the former municipality of Maniitsoq, the collection of costumes and objects deserves particular attention. Among other things, the museum houses several works by artist Gitz-Johansen, as well as the "Reindeer Land" exhibition devoted to reindeer hunting. The only drawback: no English translation.
