The dovecote, part of the remains of the village's first water mill, the one that powered Meyenheim.
The dovecote is part of the remains of the village's first water mill, known in Alsatian as "Obermühle". Built around 1750, it was destroyed in 1912. When in operation, it supplied energy to Meyenheim. The later creation of another mill along the Old Thur earned the canal hosting it the nickname "Canal des Douze Moulins" (Twelve Mills Canal). A fresco under the dovecote depicts Christ, seated on a rainbow and holding his cross. Next to him, a Virgin, kneeling on clouds, is supposed to intercede on behalf of sinners.
