Kangerlussuaq is particularly well known for its muskoxen, which number in the thousands. This is one of the best places to observe this majestic animal, a mixture of sheep and beef. Large herds graze freely in the valleys near Kangerlussuaq. Remember to keep a distance of several tens of metres from the animal, which is much faster than it looks. Equip yourself with binoculars too, otherwise you won't see much... Excursions are offered by Albatros and last a few hours.
