EMANUEL A PETERSEN ART MUSEUM
Museum exhibiting a collection by the Danish painter Petersen, who made many trips to Greenland during his lifetime.
This charming museum houses an important collection by Danish painter Petersen (1894-1948). During his lifetime, he made several trips to Greenland to immerse himself in the landscape and light, which he transcribed onto his canvases. He was the first to bring the magic of the Arctic to Europe (66 of his works are shown here). Contemporary Greenlandic artists are exhibited upstairs. The ticket also includes access to the Ilulissat Museum.
