KULUSUK MUSEUM
Museum retracing the history of the region and the lives of the Tunumi Inuit up to the arrival of Danish missionaries and merchants.
The Kulusuk Museum is run by Justine Boassen, born and raised in Kulusuk. It traces the fascinating history of the region up to the arrival of Danish missionaries and merchants in 1884, when the inhabitants still lived as nomadic hunters, isolated and unknown to the rest of the world. The museum provides a better understanding of the life of the Tunumi Inuit of the East Coast, with an exhibition of Boassen family artifacts interwoven with their personal narratives. A guided tour (maximum 7 people) can be organised on request.
