It houses many historical photographs, paintings, sculptures (tupilaks) and traditional costumes typical of the Eastern Inuit communities, reflecting the history of the region and allowing you to learn a little more about the traditions of the past, some of which are still present. The building was originally the city's shop and was then used for administration until it became a museum.
