The local Tsoum operates on the same principle as all former Soviet department stores, with clothing, souvenirs, edibles... The supermarket side has been very well renovated and offers many local products, as well as a few European ones and many Russian brands. You'll have no trouble picking up a few groceries if you combine your stop in Petropavl with a long train journey. The Tsoum also has a small restaurant and tea room, a highly recommended place to relax.
