This museum is housed in a beautiful listed house. The long galleries devoted to local flora and fauna are well displayed and documented, with as always a large collection of stuffed animals. Local history is highlighted, from prehistory to the Mongol conquest, through a number of objects: weapons, traditional costumes, handicrafts... The first floor is devoted to the evolution of the city during the Soviet period and since Independence, and the visit obviously ends with a room dedicated to President Nazarbaev.
