NASHIKKOKAN
Nashikkokan (Tottori Nijisseiki Pear Museum) is the only museum in Japan dedicated to the pear. These Japanese pears, called nashi, look more like apples than pears from elsewhere. Tottori Prefecture is famous for their production and they are reputed to be very tasty. Renovated in 2018, this museum retraces the history and specificities of this Japanese fruit in several parts. The giant pear tree, 20 m in diameter, which stands in the centre of the complex, is the symbolic tree of the museum. Tasting possible.
