It is the nerve center of this medieval village. Known as the Recinte del Fort, this square is the center of much of Capmany's local life, as it is not only the population's favorite meeting place, but also the place where festivals, traditions, markets... are celebrated. The fortified church of Santa Àgata, dating from the 12th century, and the town hall can be seen in this square. From here, you can access Plaça Major and Carrer Major, the village's main street.
